Registration

The Smash is making it even easier to register for our event in 2013! All registrations must be received by Wednesday July 31st to avoid the $20 late fee. Walk-ons will be accepted room permitting but the $20 late fee will apply. Rules and prizes for each division will be described below.

Registration is 7:15am - 8:15am both days
with play starting at 9am.
Walk-ons please arrive early!

There are two different registration forms, one for Saturday's Doubles Play and another for Sunday's Co-Ed and Quads division play. If you are entering to play on both days, you will need to fill out both registration forms.

All entries must be received no later than July 31st 2013. Any entries received after July 31st 2013 will be assessed a $20.00 late fee.

The SMASH will accept walk-ons for both days but a $20.00 late fee will be added onto the fee. But with the success of the Smash last year we will have limited extra space for walk-ons so please register early to confirm a spot in this year’s Smash.

Men’s Pro:

Men's Pro play will consist of pool play on Saturday only. The single elimination playoffs will be held on Sunday. The Susquehanna SMASH will be playing "old school" rules similar to the Pottstown Rumble.

Please note the Men’s Pro division entry fee is $85 per team.  The Susquehanna SMASH will pay well over 100% back to the Men’s Pro teams.  Our goal is to have more than 40 Men’s Pro teams.

Men’s AA, A, BB & B

We are excited to offer non-pro men another high quality tournament and a new place to play. Men's AA, A, BB and B divisions will hold pool play and play-offs on Saturday. Play will consist of pool play followed by single elimination playoffs.  The Susquehanna SMASH will be playing "old school" rules similar to the Pottstown Rumble.

Entry fee will be $60 per team for Men’s AA, A, BB & B

Men’s Senior 45s & Over

The Smash is now offering a division for guys who are 45 years old or older to compete against men of their own age. So make sure to bring your sports cream and pain pills to survive the doubles competition.

Entry fee will be $60 per team for Men’s Senior 45s & Over

Women’s Pro:

Women's Pro play will be held on Saturday. Play will consist of pool play followed by single elimination playoffs.  The Susquehanna SMASH will be playing "old school" rules similar to the Pottstown Rumble.

The SMASH will pay back 100% of all Women’s Pro pre-registration.  This prize money format lends itself to spreading the word about the tournament. The more players in your division the higher the payout.

So based on a 20 team field the payout would be as follows:

1st Place: $700
2nd Place: $350
3rd - 4th Place: $175
5th - 8th Place: Prizes to be awarded

Entry fee will be $70 per Women’s Pro teams.

Women’s A, BB & B

Reverse Coed AA, A, BB & B

Reverse Coed will be held on Sunday and will be played at a women’s height net with men hitting behind the ten foot line and only the ladies can hit and block at the net.

Co-ed play will be held on Sunday. Play will consist of pool play followed by single elimination playoffs.  The Susquehanna SMASH will be playing "old school" rules similar to the Pottstown Rumble.

Entry fee is $60 per team.

Note To Co-Ed Players:
There will be a concerted effort to keep the "elite" pro players from entering the Co-ed A division. This will be done to try and keep the Co-ed A division as equal as possible.

Quads A & B

Quads play will be held on Sunday. Play will consist of pool play followed by single elimination playoffs. We will offer both an A and B division.  The Susquehanna SMASH will be playing "old school" rules similar to the Pottstown Rumble.

The Quads divisions will be played on a guys net and the teams can be a mix of genders also known as Gender Blind, so it can be all guys or a mix of guys and girls.

Entry fee for Quads A and B divisions is $120 per team.

Juniors

The SMASH is excited to offer another tournament to the many High School and Junior Club players.  The Mission of the Susquehanna SMASH is to introduce Juniors players to the game of doubles volleyball.  The Susquehanna SMASH will be playing "old school" rules similar to the Pottstown Rumble.

The SMASH divisions will include:

• Junior Boys age 18 & Under*
• Junior Girls age 18 & Under*
• Junior Girls age 16 & Under*
• Junior Girls age 14 & Under*

If you are under age 18, you will need to include a signed waiver mailed in the same envelope as your entry. Waivers are available for download below and MUST be signed by a parent or legal guardian. You WILL NOT be allowed to play without a signed waiver.

*Attention Juniors Players You will need to download a tournament waiver to be signed by a parent or legal guardian. You MUST have a signed waiver for all players under the age of 18.

*Division could be combined with Junior Girls 16 & Under.
